At this meeting, the Alliance for Artisan Enterprise Corporate Council discussed the development, establishment, and promotion of ethical practices and realistic corporate compliance standards to develop new business for artisans, explore value chain opportunities, and build on new market interest in handmade and sustainable products. In roundtable discussions, the Council explored ways to grow the artisan supply chain, the challenges that inhibit artisans and retailers, ways of developing a verification process, and how to engage policy and the public sector.
