After 17 years and more than 200 notable authors, the Aspen Institute Alma and Joseph Gildenhorn Book Series is officially coming to an end following one final program on Thursday, June 3rd. Joining the series will be President Emerita of the Wilson Center and Former U.S. Representative Jane Harman and Professor at Harvard Kennedy School and Former Ambassador to NATO Nicholas Burns. With their lengthy careers in intelligence and security, they will discuss the issues we confront as a global society with focus on Harman’s new book, Insanity Defense: Why Our Failure to Confront Hard National Security Problems Makes Us Less Safe (St. Martin’s Press).
