Common Core State Standards and teacher effectiveness initiatives, including new evaluations, have emerged as the most significant, pervasive, and potentially impactful priorities for improving public education. We are learning from leading efforts in the field while explicitly acknowledging unaddressed challenges, and will develop recommendations for state and federal policymakers to advance these initiatives together as opposed to separately.
