Nathalie Rayes

Former U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Croatia , Aspen Conexión

Nathalie Rayes is a nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center and most recently served as the tenth U.S. Ambassador to Croatia. She brings decades of leadership in diplomacy, public service, advocacy, and corporate strategy.

Before her diplomatic appointment, she served as President and CEO of Latino Victory, where she expanded national fundraising, built institutional capacity, and elevated Latino representation in leadership. Earlier, she was Deputy Chief of Staff to L.A. Mayor James K. Hahn, and later led public affairs strategy at Grupo Salinas, focusing on U.S.–Mexico relations.

Nathalie has held leadership roles with the Wilson Center, U.S. Institute of Peace, Hispanic Federation, and Planned Parenthood Federation of America. She was instrumental in the creation of the Aspen Institute Latinos and Society Program and founded the HOPE Binational Fellowship.
