Small businesses are a core component of the nation’s economic growth. Latino Americans are starting businesses at three times the rate of the rest of Americans. Not only do small businesses contribute to local and regional economies, they create opportunities for the development of both individual and family financial security. Looking at the future of the US economy, business ownership and business growth will continue being key determinants of economic advancement. As Latino-owned businesses grow, they create jobs, generate wealth, meet customer needs, and help solve many of society’s challenges. The key to unleashing the economic potential of Latino-owned businesses is to ensure that all entrepreneurs have the ability and opportunity to scale so that the full benefits of their businesses can be realized.
