The last decade has seen unprecedented technological advancement, yet grave challenges threaten our global societies. We convened two diverse groups of experts to discuss how they might advise building and distributing artificial intelligence for equitable outcomes. Our hope is that this report inspires greater curiosity among technologists and the communities they serve, and spurs and shapes the development of markets, norms, and policies toward achieving greater equity.

FEBRUARY 1, 2022 – Four Aspen Tech Policy Hub Fellows presented their innovative policy ideas for improving healthcare and health data privacy. Following the presentations of the projects, Aneesh Chopra, Co-Founder of CareJourney and former United States Chief Technology Officer, gave further remarks.

Today, communities of color face a battle to uphold civil rights that have been abridged through online platforms. The opportunity, well-being, and liberty of Black and Brown Americans is intensified or denied as emerging technologies transform our society.

The general public currently remains somewhere between ignorance and suspicion, with mixed support for AI at best.
