The Future of Work Initiative and General Assembly recently convened a roundtable discussion on Capitol Hill, bringing together experts from the public and private sectors, to consider strategies to spur greater investment in human capital.

As 2018 comes to a close, we’ve compiled some of our most notable developments of the past year. We look forward to advancing the future of work conversation in 2019.

Drawing from and building on a day-long cross-sector workshop in the spring of 2018, the Future of Work Initiative drafted a white paper to further explore issues at the intersection of the future of work and the future of mobility.

As the year comes to a close, we are thankful for the support and interest we have received in examining how work is changing and what can be done to help workers and businesses meet the challenges that new technologies and a changing workforce present.

The Advisory Council, led by former Delaware Governor Jack Markell, will guide the Initiative’s strategy and identify solutions to help workers and businesses succeed in a changing economy.
