New York, NY — Today, the Aspen Institute Business & Society Program launches the fourth cohort of its Economic Mobility Fellowship, welcoming Fellows from major corporations committed to advancing the role of business in expanding economic mobility in America.
“Economic inequality is one of the defining challenges of our time, and the pressure on business to respond has never been greater,” said Eli Malinsky, Deputy Director of the Aspen Institute Business and Society Program. “These Fellows represent something important: leaders inside major corporations who understand that expanding economic opportunities for employees and customers is central to building a healthy business. We’re proud to support their work at a moment when it matters most.”
This year’s cohort will embark on a year-long Fellowship that will enable each participant to scale an innovative project within their company that drives business value while promoting economic opportunity for low-income individuals and families in the United States. The Economic Mobility Fellowship provides participants with insights, skills, frameworks, and coaching to lead change in large, complex, for-profit institutions within a supportive network of peer leaders. Made possible thanks to the generous support of the Ballmer Group, the Fellowship aims to contribute to a growing body of knowledge on how corporate practice can support greater economic mobility.
