Alex Slippen

Senior Associate

Alex Slippen is the Senior Associate, Stewardship and Campaign, in the Office of Institutional Advancement. In this role, he supports all aspects of donor stewardship, sharing impact with the organization’s partners and investors while also contributing to the Institute’s five-year capital campaign.

With over a decade of experience in nonprofit development, Alex joined the Institute in 2024. He previously served as a Development Specialist at the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, where he managed the organization’s philanthropic arm, the National Hospice Foundation, and related fundraising initiatives. Earlier in his career, Alex held philanthropic roles at the Ethics and Compliance Initiative, and worked in communications at Defenders of Wildlife.

A native of the Washington, DC area, Alex was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia, which he still calls home. He is a 2012 graduate of Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Media & Communication.
