Andres, better known as Andy, is an advocate in the intersection of policy and education. He has worked with Texas Health and Human Services and the New Mexico Department of Health, helping advise policy, grants, conferences, and system improvements—working directly with educators and state and local agencies. Andy believes in the power of collective action, grassroots organizing, and youth voice in decision-making spaces. When you don’t catch him advocating, you can find him walking his dog, Peanut, thrifting, or adding to his collection of digital cameras.
