Diana Plazas-Trowbridge

Chief Lodging Product and Services Officer, Marriott International

Diana leads the Product, Lodging, and Services team for the U.S. and Canada, bringing together brand, operations, and design to create a more cohesive approach to lodging strategy. She previously served as Senior Vice President and Global Brand Leader for Select Brands. In this role, she led the Select Brands portfolio and organization, setting long-term direction for some of Marriott’s fastest-growing brands. She was responsible for strengthening each brand’s economic model to drive profitability for owners and franchisees, while ensuring a distinct identity and high-quality guest experience across the portfolio. Diana worked closely with global and regional leaders on key initiatives to advance the brand portfolio. Her oversight included Courtyard by Marriott, Four Points by Sheraton, Aloft, Moxy, and newer brands such as StudioRes and Four Points Flex by Sheraton. Since joining Marriott in 2015, she has held several senior leadership roles, including Vice President of Brand, Marketing, and Digital for the Caribbean and Latin America, where she also established the Owner and Franchise Relations function for the region. She later served as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for the CALA region, leading commercial and customer strategy for nearly 500 hotels across more than 35 countries and territories. In this role, she also played a key part in the acquisition and integration of City Express by Marriott and the development of the company’s all-inclusive platform. Originally from Cali, Colombia, Diana serves as Executive Sponsor for Marriott’s Hispanic and Latino Associate Resource Group. She is also a board member of Women Leading Travel & Hospitality and the nonprofit Comic Kids. Diana holds a bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Georgetown University and an Executive MBA from Florida International University.
