Emily oversees all aspects of fundraising operations, ensuring that development efforts align with FSP’s priorities and impact goals to address wealth inequality in the U.S. and build an inclusive economy.

Emily I. Wilson is the Senior Development Manager at the Aspen Institute Financial Security Program, where she serves as a key strategic and operational partner to FSP’s management team, as well as finance and communications functions. She oversees all aspects of fundraising operations, ensuring that development efforts align with FSP’s priorities and impact goals to address wealth inequality in the U.S. and build an inclusive economy. She is passionate about leveraging capital for social impact and driving philanthropic dollars towards a more inclusive and sustainable future for all. 

Before joining Aspen FSP, Emily worked in impact investing at Upstart Co-Lab, where she helped launch the Inclusive Creative Economy Strategy—the first impact investing vehicle dedicated to the U.S. creative industries. She began her career in the nonprofit arts sector and has over a decade of experience in front-line fundraising and donor relations for regional theaters along the East Coast, including the American Repertory Theater (Cambridge, MA), Shakespeare Theatre Company (Washington, DC), and Imagination Stage (Bethesda, MD).

Emily holds a Master of Liberal Arts in Management from Harvard University, with a focus on finance and innovation/entrepreneurship. She earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Theatre, Dance, & Performance Studies and English Language and Literature from the University of Maryland.
