Faria Tavacoli is a first generation college student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, a community health worker, and reentry advocate focused on advancing health equity, education access, and youth wellbeing in the Southern Nevada region. Her work centers on bridging research, policy, and community leadership to address systemic barriers affecting young people. Faria contributes youth perspectives to conversations about prevention, rehabilitation, and community based reentry support. Her work emphasizes the importance of education access, health services, and stable support systems for young people navigating justice system impacts and survivorship experiences. Faria’s experiences are shaped by her upbringing in Las Vegas and her lived experiences navigating education systems in the community. These experiences inform her commitment to youth centered policy and community driven solutions designed by youth, for youth. She believes young people should be active participants in shaping the systems that affect their lives. In her free time, Faria enjoys recreational skateboarding and spending time outdoors exploring different parts of Las Vegas and the surrounding desert landscape.
