Fernando Miranda is the chief executive officer of Neon, a high-growth digital bank with over 26 million customers in Brazil. Fernando has more than 25 years of experience in financial institutions, having held senior leadership roles at both traditional banks like Citibank, American Express, Santander and digital players, including Easynvest, Webmotors, Marginalen Bank, and Nubank. Over the course of his career, he has led the turnaround, acquisition, or sale of more than ten companies across markets in Europe (the United Kingdom, Sweden, Finland, Latvia, and Lithuania), Latin America (Brazil and Chile) and the United States. Fernando currently serves as chairman of YPO Brazil, where he sets strategic direction for a nonprofit network of more than 1,300 company presidents. He is a member of the board of directors of Falabella in Chile and previously served on the advisory board of MYC4, a microfinance nonprofit based in Kenya. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of São Paulo, a MBA from the Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets and is currently completing a nine-year executive program at Harvard Business School. Fernando is a Fellow of the ninth class of the Finance Leaders Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
