Irini is global head of strategic partnerships and senior managing director at OMERS Infrastructure. She leads the Strategic Partnership Program (SPP), through which OMERS partners with pension funds and other like-minded institutional investors to invest in essential community assets globally. Throughout the 13-year history of this platform, OMERS has invested and manages ~US$5.5bn of capital on behalf of 20 partners in 14 assets around the world. Irini is a member of the OMERS Infrastructure Investment Committee and Management Committee. She is an also board member of the Exolum Group, a leading owner, manager and builder of advanced logistics infrastructure for current and future bulk liquids and gases. Irini joined OMERS in September 2022 from IFM Investors, where she was the Global Head of Investor Relations, the Head of EMEA for the Global Relationship Group and a member of the Global Management Team. Prior to this, she was at Hastings Funds Management, where she was the Head of Product Development for the private asset classes. Irini began her career as a M&A lawyer in the New York and London offices of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where she advised PE clients and strategics on private and public M&A transactions globally. Irini received a Bachelor of arts from Barnard College at Columbia University, where she graduated magna cum laude and was elected Phi Beta Kappa. Irini earned a Master of Studies from St Cross College at the University of Oxford, where she received distinction on her degree. She also earned a Juris Doctor with high honors from George Washington University. She is a Registered Attorney in New York and holds a Diploma of Company Direction from the Institute of Directors (IoD). Irini is a Fellow of the ninth class of the Finance Leaders Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
