Jennifer Troia is honored to serve as the Director of the California Department of Social Services. In this role, she leads a team of more than 5,500 employees overseeing programs that serve more than 7 million Californians. She has more than 20 years of experience in human services, including serving in various capacities as a staff member in the California Legislature and working as an attorney and advocate for children and youth in foster care. Ms. Troia earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida.
