John Tass-Parker is executive director of artificial intelligence policy & partnerships at JPMorganChase, where he works to translate advances in AI into economic and societal value. He partners across industry, government, academia, and civil society to shape frameworks that enable AI innovation to scale responsibly and ensure AI adoption strengthens institutions, expands opportunity, and delivers real-world impact.
John’s career spans government, technology, finance, and film, reflecting a fascination with how ideas become institutions, shape markets, and influence culture. He spent nearly a decade at Instagram leading global initiatives across public policy, elections, and strategic issues, and later advised technology companies on the economic, cultural, and societal implications of emerging technologies. He began his career advising Australian Prime Ministers Julia Gillard and Kevin Rudd. John serves on the board of the Australian American Leadership Dialogue and is an Edward R. Murrow Award recipient and Forbes 30 Under 30 alumnus. He is an Aspen Technology Leaders Initiative Fellow and member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
