Maya Ovrutsky

Maya Ovrutsky comes to the Aspen Institute with over a decade of experience leading high-impact creative campaigns for nonprofit organizations and social justice causes.

Prior to joining the Institute, Maya served as Senior Account Director at A—B, an award-winning social impact studio. At A—B, Maya led clients and multi-disciplinary teams through creative and strategic projects. As the leader of the client services team, she designed and oversaw the processes for delivering best-in-class client experiences.

Maya also led client experience at Big Duck, a renowned strategic communications firm for the nonprofit sector. At Big Duck, she worked closely with clients whose missions span the full range of the nonprofit industry, overseeing the success of their communications, brand, and fundraising projects.

Maya began her career in the nonprofit sector, working at an organization providing legal services to low-income women in New York City.

Maya has a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from Bates College. She’s based in Brooklyn, NY where she lives with her family.
