Sasha Borowsky

Chief of Staff & Senior Director, Energy and Environment Program

Sasha Borowsky is the Chief of Staff to the Executive Director and Senior Director for the Aspen Institute Energy and Environment Program (EEP).  Before joining EEP, she most recently served as the Aspen Institute’s Director of Principal Gifts & Individual Giving, where she led the Leadership Council advisory group to the CEO and helped steward and secure seven-figure gifts for the Institute’s capital campaign. Previously she was Director of Strategic Engagement for the Leadership Division of the Aspen Institute. 

Prior to the Aspen Institute, Sasha helped transform nascent nonprofits with limited budgets into influential organizations that shape public policy. She has held Vice President and Chief of Staff roles and worked on multiple federal political committees, including PACs and super PACs. Sasha brings deep experience in messaging and communications, brand and reputation management, and strategic stakeholder engagement. She has planned large, open-press events—one of which drew multiple presidential candidates during the 2016 election—and has led business operations, navigated personnel matters, and built teams to maximize efficiency. A native of Philadelphia, she earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont.
