Terah Lyons is a managing director at JPMorganChase, where she is Global Head of Al & Data Policy. In her role, she drives firmwide strategy, positioning, and engagement on Al and data policy issues, working closely with corporate and business partners across the firm. Terah has more than a decade of experience in senior leadership positions at the intersection of Al technology, business, social impact, and public policy. Terah was previously the Founding Executive Director and CEO of the Partnership on Al, a nonprofit multistakeholder organization founded in 2016 comprising industry, civil society, and academic institutions focused on developing research and voluntary standards for responsible Al development. She formerly served as a policy advisor in the White House of President Barack Obama, leading the U.S. government’s work on Al and emerging technology policy, during which period she directed the first country-level Al policy strategy. Before her role at JPMorganChase, she was a Senior Advisor on Al and geopolitics for Albright Stonebridge Group and an Executive in Residence at Zetta Venture Partners. She has served as an Advisor to the Administrative Conference of the United States on the use of Al in public agencies, as a Mozilla Foundation Technology Policy Fellow, a Fellow with the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and an Affiliate Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence, where she sits on the board of the Stanford Al Index. She is a graduate of Harvard University. Terah is a Fellow of the ninth class of the Finance Leaders Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
