Meryl Chertoff Testifies before New Jersey State Bar Association

On June 17, JSP Executive Director Meryl Chertoff was called on to testify before a New Jersey State Bar Association task force created to address ongoing threats to the independence of the state’s judiciary. Her recommendations included a more transparent lower court judicial nominee selection process and more extensive and comprehensive use of Judicial Performance Evaluations.
