Vice President Kamala Harris will appear at Aspen Ideas: Climate, the Aspen Institute and the City of Miami Beach announced today. On the evening of Wednesday, March 8 – International Women’s Day – the Vice President will participate in moderated conversation with iconic singer and songwriter Gloria Estefan in the New World Center. They will discuss the Biden-Harris Administration’s approach to climate change as a priority issue, including the potential for climate solutions and a new clean energy economy made possible by the Inflation Reduction Act.

Vice President Harris and Gloria Estefan join hundreds of speakers with expertise spanning policy making, science, business, technology, art, education, food, journalism, and more, gathering in Miami Beach to focus on climate solutions. Now in its second year, Aspen Ideas: Climate is co-organized by the Aspen Institute and the City of Miami Beach. In addition to plenary sessions, breakout discussions, announcements, and private roundtables, the event features a tech expo and career fair, a climate solutions showcase, a public arts program, and excursions. From March 3-6, the Future Leaders Climate Summit will gather a diverse group of 250 young leaders from around the world to discuss climate policy, communications, advocacy, and individual action with climate and energy experts.
