Ben Levisohn is the editor-in-chief of Barron’s. Ben became senior managing editor in August 2025 after service as deputy editor. Before promotion into management roles, Ben penned the “Up & Down Wall Street,” “Streetwise” and “Trader” columns for Barron’s for a decade. Ben started at the publication in 2012 as an emerging-markets writer and transitioned to U.S. markets. Ben joined Dow Jones in 2010 as a reporter for the Weekend Investor section of The Wall Street Journal, and held positions at Bloomberg and BusinessWeek following graduation from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY in 2007. Before journalism, Ben spent more than seven years as a Wall Street equities trader at Worldco and Lynx Capital Partners, a shift made after working in early childhood education in Chicago and Boulder, Colorado. Ben earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago, graduating with High Honors in 1995. Ben is a Fellow of the ninth class of the Finance Leaders Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
