Gregory Spear is the Stevens Initiative’s Assistant Director of Global Operations. He leads operations and planning for essential cross-team functions, including budget planning and reporting, risk management, and projects related to the Initiative’s direct programming grants. Greg brings over a decade of knowledge and experience from the field of university-based international education, most recently at Georgetown University, where he supported campus-wide faculty engagement with education abroad programs and initiatives. Prior to Georgetown, he worked in Rutgers University’s global programs office, where he specialized in service-learning, civic engagement, and social entrepreneurship programs designed to engage students of all backgrounds in sustainable development projects in their communities and around the world. Greg holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in history from Rutgers University. He is originally from New Jersey, but is learning to call DC home.
