Naheed serves as Manager of Talent and Economic Development at SEMCOG, the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments. She identifies solutions for filling the skills gap and developing a workforce that will support and advance regional economic development. She works closely with government, business, labor, education, and workforce development organizations on public policy issues and initiatives related to promoting workforce success through soft skills, career development, STEM education, and skilled trades. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography and a master’s in Social Policy and Planning from London University.

Naheed Huq is a member of the Detroit Workforce System Leadership Development Academy Class of 2017, one of several Workforce Leadership Academies in localities across North America.
