Tyren Boyd Jr.

Youth Advisory Partner (YAP), Aspen Institute Education & Society Program

Tyren Boyd Jr. is a son of the Mississippi Delta and a 2026 graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he studied Public Policy Leadership and Writing, Rhetoric, and Speech Communication with a minor in Community Engaged Leadership. His work focuses on education policy, youth development, and strengthening systems that support students and educators across Mississippi. Tyren is the founder of Change Agency Solutions (CAS), a youth-centered consulting organization that partners with school districts, educators, and community organizations to help close opportunity gaps for young people. Through CAS, he works with education leaders to support leadership development, strengthen college and career readiness efforts, and build stronger connections between schools and the communities they serve. In addition to his consulting work, Tyren has contributed to education evaluation efforts examining programs that prepare and support teachers entering the classroom. His evaluation work focuses on understanding how education initiatives impact students, educators, and communities, and how those insights can inform stronger policy and practice. Tyren also served two years on the Mississippi State Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council, where he participated in statewide discussions on education policy and student well being. During that time, he served on the Mental Health Subcommittee, helping elevate the importance of mental health support within Mississippi schools.
