Aspen is a place for leaders to lift their sights above the possessions which possess them. To confront their own nature as human beings, to regain control over their own humanity by becoming more self-aware, more self-correcting, and hence more self-fulfilling.
The Socrates Program offers scholarship support to offset seminar tuition.
The Aspen Institute seeks leaders from diverse backgrounds for our Socrates program, believing that varied perspectives create the most engaging dialogue and productive debate essential to Socratic exploration.
We offer scholarships based on professional background, personal circumstances, and financial need. Participants are identified through alumni nominations, Institute community referrals, and direct applications from those who would enhance our seminar discussions.
For additional information about scholarships to participate in Socrates seminars, please email your biography, headshot, an indication of the seminar you would like to participate in, and a description of your financial need:
We would like to highlight one specific funding opportunity. If you think you may be eligible for one of these opportunities, please let us know when you reach out.
The Woody Gayle Hunt Aspen Institute Fellowship is available for individuals from the Borderplex area including El Paso, Texas; Ciudad Juárez, Mexico; and Las Cruces, New Mexico.
