A Practice Agenda in Support of How Learning Happens

This Practice Agenda was informed by the CDE’s previous document, The Practice Base for How We Learn; the CDE’s collective knowledge and expertise as leading practitioners focused on supporting the whole learner; and the experiences and perspectives of the many schools and communities that are engaged in this work. It also has been revised with the suggestions of a wide variety of reviewers. This document features practice recommendations that seek to provide a framework through which key voices within schools and communities—students, teachers, families, after-school and youth development organizations—can work together to create learning environments that foster the comprehensive development of all young people.
