Tracey Abbott, Vice President Strategic Planning, Footlocker, Inc., New York, NY. Tracey joined Footlocker as Vice President of Strategic Planning in December 2012, where her responsibilities include leading global strategy and financial planning for the $6 billion athletic sports and apparel retailer. She was previously Vice President of Sales, Beverages at PepsiCo, overseeing the Target customer account, a $360MM beverage portfolio and one of PepsiCo's most strategic partners. Tracey joined PepsiCo in 2010 as Senior Director, Consumer Strategy where she was responsible for North American beverage portfolio strategy in New York. From 2008-2010, Tracey was a Case Team Leader at Bain & Company management consulting, living in Dubai, Johannesburg, Moscow, and Atlanta during her stint and focused mainly on private equity and consumer goods engagements. Tracey began her consulting career at A.T. Kearney in London in 2006, primarily focused on consumer goods. Prior to consulting, Tracey worked in the sports industry at Adidas-Salomon, A.G. in Germany and in Amsterdam, calling on the Foot Locker account. Tracey began her career at Eastman Kodak in Atlanta and credits the company for beginning her 10 year international career in Paris. Tracey earned an MBA in Finance (Bilingual Curriculum) from Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Paris, France in 2003 and is a Wake Forest University alumni. Joshua Baer

Joshua Baer, Chief Innovation Officer, Return Path and Managing Director, Capital Factory, Austin, TX. Joshua Baer helps people quit their jobs and become entrepreneurs. He founded and sold four companies by the age of 36, including his first company, SKYLIST, which he founded while a sophomore at Carnegie Mellon in 1996. His most recent startup, OtherInbox, was acquired at the end of 2011 by Return Path, where he serves as Chief Innovation Officer. In addition to technology companies, Josh founded Capital Factory, a tech startup incubator and co-working space in Austin, Texas for others’ startups and teaches a class at the University of Texas for student entrepreneurs. A few years ago, Josh, his wife, and a few friends launched Ignite Austin to promote an inspiring and ongoing exchange of ideas from business, art, technology, government and academia. In 2011, Josh launched Austin Start-up Week to highlight Austin’s emerging tech businesses. He has invested as an angel in more than 50 private companies and is one of the top rated investors on AngelList. In 1998 he co-authored RFC 2369, a technical standard for unsubscribe that has been adopted by Google, Microsoft and Yahoo. Josh is on the Board of Directors for WP Engine, Inc. and Greenling Organic Delivery, Inc. A third-generation descendent of Eastern European Jewish immigrants, he is an active supporter of the Jewish Federation. Josh is also a supporter of Austin's live music scene, and in an effort to give back to his alma mater, he recently joined the Carnegie Mellon University Computer Science Advisory Board. Sidney Breyer, Founder & Board Member, Alog Data Centers do Brasil, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Sidney has been an investor and executive in the IT industry since 1994, and has already founded six companies. His first company, Z-Movie—one of the first e-commerce sites in Brazil to produce and sell multimedia CD-Roms—was founded in 1995. He left Z-Movie in 1996 and founded Ability Comunicacao e Tecnologia Ltda., an online marketing agency that he is still involved with today. In 1997, he founded Elefante Internet SA, Brazil's largest personal assistant website. In 1999, he founded Aceleradora.com, an internet incubator. In 2004 he bought a small data center, from which he built ALOG Data Centers do Brasil. ALOG is among the leading carrier-neutral data center services providers in Brazil and serves approximately 1,400 customers across its three data centers in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Sidney grew ALOG to $100 million in revenue and 600 employees before he sold it to Equinix and Riverwood in April 2011. In addition to his for-profit work Sidney also founded Potencial NGO in 2011, a non-profit that helps low-income students graduate from high school, into college, and then helps them in securing their first job. He has also invested in education ventures in Brazil, and serves as a board member and investor in Gera Venture Capital, and an investor of Sistema Elite de Ensino, a private school focused on low-income students in Rio de Janeiro. Additionally, he serves on the boards of EAC German School of Rio de Janeiro and Mandic Cloud Services. Sidney graduated in Aeronautical Mechanics Engineering from the Aeronautics Technology Institute - ITA. He holds an MBA from COPPEAD/UFRJ and an OPM from Harvard Business School. Chuck Chai, President and Chief Investment Officer, Hillspire LLC, Menlo Park, CA. As President and Chief Investment Officer of Hillspire LLC, a $5+ billion family office and investment organization based in Silicon Valley, Chuck is responsible for managing a diverse investment portfolio and overseeing all aspects of the organization. Chuck is also one of the two members of the investment committee for The Schmidt Family Foundation, a grant-making organization which supports efforts to help transform the world's environmental and energy practices in the 21st century. Prior to joining Hillspire in 2011, Chuck was a member of the financial crisis response team in the U.S. Department of the Treasury during the Obama Administration. Before public service, Chuck worked at Perry Capital, a $12 billion investment firm, where he founded the firm's Asian operations in Hong Kong and helped build a 10-person team managing over $1 billion throughout Asia. Chuck began his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs in the financial institutions group in New York and in Singapore, where he helped advise banks in Southeast Asia on mergers and restructuring during the 1997 Asian financial crisis. Chuck has also been actively involved in a variety of non-profit and public policy related endeavors. From 2006 to 2008, he was the volunteer country coordinator for the Clinton HIV/AIDS Initiative in Thailand. He is currently a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a member of the Global Capital Markets Advisory Council of the Milken Institute. In her current role at Target, the second largest general merchandise retailer in the U.S., Christina leads the merchandise teams responsible for making all product assortment, pricing, promotion and presentation decisions for a multi-billion dollar health & beauty business. Additionally, Christina is responsible for driving the channel strategies between stores, online and mobile in partnership with Target Marketing teams. Prior to her current role, Christina was the Merchandise Planning Director responsible for inventory planning and supply chain management functions for all household commodities, personal care, paper, baby and beauty products at Target. Beyond Christina's experience in Beauty, she also held several other merchandising roles in Toys and Consumer Electronics. Mark Lundstrom, Founder & CEO, BioScale, Inc., Lexington, MA. Mark is a serial cross-industry entrepreneur, having co-founded companies in material science, satellite communications, software, and bioscience. In 2002, Mark founded BioScale, which has developed some of the world’s most sensitive scales for nanotechnology measurement of proteins, cells, viral load, hormones, bacteria, and small molecules for research and diagnostic applications. Prior to BioScale, Mark co-founded Active Control eXperts, Inc. (ACX), which designed and manufactured piezoelectric systems used to control vibrations. ACX was acquired by Cymer, but their products are still found in a wide variety of equipment such as skis, baseball bats, and machine tools. In the software industry, Mark founded Ripcord Systems which created wireless products to arm on-the-road employees with anytime, anywhere access to critical information from corporate enterprise systems. He was also on the start-up team at Teledesic LLC, building the world's first global, broadband Internet-in-the-SkyTM network using advanced satellite technology, and was in engineering and management at NASA (JPL) and Boeing. Mark served on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and serves as Chairman and Founder of SkiAble, a charity dedicated to providing skiing and other athletic opportunities to disabled children. Mark has been a "Young Leader" on the National Committee for US-China Relations, and is a Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. In his earlier years, Mark spent several years as a competitive ski racer, he holds a pilot’s license, and has 16 patents in diverse industries. Ceasar C. Mitchell, Jr., Attorney at DLA Piper, LLP and Council President, City of Atlanta, Atlanta, GA. Attorney Ceasar Mitchell serves as 7th President of the Atlanta City Council, leading the city's legislative branch, in addition to practicing commercial real estate and finance at the global firm, DLA Piper. Prior to being elected Council President, Ceasar served eight years as a citywide Councilmember, championing key legislation facilitating economic revitalization in underdeveloped areas. As a Councilmember, Ceasar formed a Parks Advisory Group to recommend methods to increase and better maintaining parks and green space within the city. Additionally, he created a Clean Green Team to provide technical assistance and resources to 22 community groups working to improve their neighborhoods. Ceasar is a former board director of the Atlanta Development Authority, now Invest Atlanta, which implements Atlanta's economic development initiatives. Josh Silverman is an entrepreneurial executive who has built and run some of the world's most loved consumer technology companies. In July 2011, he joined American Express as President, U.S. Consumer Services with responsibility for leading the U.S. Consumer Card and Global Travel businesses. His portfolio includes the company's iconic green, gold, platinum and Centurion charge cards, its credit cards, as well as loyalty programs like Membership Rewards and Fine Hotels & Resorts, which provides special amenities for consumers and increased business for merchants. Josh is also an officer of American Express Company. Most recently Josh was the CEO of Skype. In early 2010, Justin was promoted to President of Atlantic Media, leading a dramatic overhaul of the National Journal Group. In 2012, he oversaw the creation and launch of Quartz (qz.com), an innovative mobile-first global business news brand that is rapidly attracting a global audience and advertiser support. Justin is former president and publisher of THE WEEK magazine, where he introduced the U.S. edition in 2001. He came to THE WEEK from The Economist Group where he headed corporate strategy in London, Hong Kong and New York. He began his career in media at the International Herald Tribune in Hong Kong and Paris. Justin is a founder of Breaking Media LLC, a digital media network focused on professional communities; and the Bali Purnati Center for The Arts, one of Southeast Asia’s leading arts foundations. He is also founder of the Ouagadougou Education Project—a grass-roots education organization in Burkina Faso, West Africa. Justin is a board member of the Magazine Publisher’s Association and also serves on the board of Georgetown University (term commencing mid-2013). He graduated from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and worked for the U.S. Department of State in West Africa and Washington DC. Justin is a member of the 2013 Class of Henry Crown Fellows at the Aspen Institute.

Javier Alberto Soto, President and CEO, The Miami Foundation, Miami, FL. As President and CEO of The Miami Foundation—a community foundation helping individuals, families and corporations deepen the impact they make with philanthropy—Javier has successfully transformed the Foundation’s brand and positioned the organization as a prominent leader in the South Florida community. Most recently, he led the development of two new Foundation initiatives: "Our Miami: Soul of the City", which is focused on the development, retention and recruitment of young, creative talent in Miami and "Give Miami Day," a 24 hour on-line charitable giving event that raised $1.2M for 300 non-profits in Miami. Prior to joining the Foundation, Javier served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Dutko Worldwide, a multi-disciplinary public affairs firm. He spent much of his career in the public sector as a litigator in the Miami-Dade County Attorney's Office; the County's Director of Intergovernmental Affairs; and as Chief of Staff to County Mayor Alex Penelas. Javier also worked as a litigation associate at Holland & Knight. He is active on a number of community and professional association boards including: Board of Directors for TotalBank, a community bank; Chairman of Knight Foundation's Community Advisory Board; Board of Directors and Chairman of the Public Policy Committee of the Council on Foundations; Board of Directors for the Florida Philanthropic Network; and Member of the Orange Bowl Committee. Javier graduated cum laude in History and Political Science from Florida State University and earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. Chad Troutwine

Chad Troutwine, Co-Founder and CEO, Veritas Prep, Malibu, CA. Chad is the founder of three successful companies and a decorated film producer. He is Co-Founder of Veritas Prep, the largest GMAT preparation and graduate school admissions consulting company in the world, which employs more than 500 people in 22 countries. Chad also co-founded Freakonomics Media, a digital partnership with author Stephen Dubner and economist Steven Levitt. In addition, Chad co-founded and owns Spectrum Station, the largest early learning education center in his hometown, Kansas City, Missouri. Spectrum Station provides early education for hundreds of children from infancy through private kindergarten and pioneered a fresh foods initiative. Over the past decade, Chad has also produced ten feature films, each of which earned a theatrical release and premiered at one of the world's preeminent film festivals: Sundance, Toronto, Tribeca, or Cannes. His films have earned two Emmy and three Academy Award nominations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors at Veritas Prep, Freakonomics Media, Spectrum Station, the Fishing River Community Improvement District, the Yale School of Management Alumni Association, and the Harvard Kennedy School Center for Public Leadership. Chad earned a BA from Arizona State University, a JD from the University of Missouri, an MBA from the Yale University School of Management, and an MPA from the Harvard University John F. David S. Williams III, Founder, InvolveCare™, Los Angeles, CA.  Inspired by his 10-year caregiving role with his mother, a multiple cancer survivor, and his experience with his special needs child, David Williams is Founder of InvolveCare™, a newly-launched mobile health application that helps caregivers motivate family and friends to get involved in caregiving activities. Prior to InvolveCare, David was the founding Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Business Development at PatientsLikeMe, the world’s leading consumer health data-sharing platform.  At PatientsLikeMe, David invented the first non-advertising revenue model for a social health company and was heralded by numerous media outlets including Fast Company—ranking PatientsLikeMe the #2 Most Innovative Healthcare Company in 2010 (behind GE Healthcare). A recognized thought leader in health social media, David is a published author in two peer-reviewed journals, Nature Biotechnology and the Journal of Communication in Healthcare. David serves as a Board Member for The Price Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at UCLA which oversees all entrepreneurial activities for the MBA program while also providing experiential learning opportunities for students. His previous career experience includes management consulting with Deloitte, neuroscience global strategy with Eli Lilly and Company for two multi-billion dollar blockbusters, and venture consulting for dozens of startups resulting in more than $40 million in funding for clients. David also was an accomplished spoken word performer having placed in multiple “Slam” competitions and releasing two CDs.  David earned a BS in Economics and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and holds an MBA in Digital Strategy from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
