Angelina Drake is the Chief Operating Officer at PHI, a national nonprofit dedicated to improving job quality for direct care workers and quality of care for those they serve, where she leads process improvement and systems development initiatives in service of PHI’s strategic goals. Drawing from her own experience as a home care worker, Angelina has launched several projects to improve job quality in direct care, including developing recruitment and retention supports, pathways to career advancement, and asset-development programs.

In 2018, Angelina joined the U.S. delegation to the 17th International Health Workforce Collaborative in New Zealand, which focused on the business case for upskilling the home care workforce to improve integration of social and medical services. She has held various titles since joining PHI in 2011, including Chief of Staff and Director of Development.

Prior to PHI, Angelina led grant writing projects to secure public funding for health services technology at an IT company. Her writing has been featured in national travel, nutrition, and arts publications. Angelina completed the Developing Leaders Program for Nonprofit Professionals at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business and holds a BS in Nutritional Science and BA in Health Studies from the University of Toronto.
