As Associate Director of Congressional Engagement, Jen Harthan assembles and recruits key bipartisan, bicameral groups of Members of Congress for the Program’s international educational conferences. She also manages the member breakfast and senior congressional staff lunch policy series at the Capitol, conducts strategic programming for engagement with Members of Congress and their staff, and analyzes critical data and outcomes from all aspects of programming.
Prior to the Aspen Institute, Jen was a legislative staffer for Senator Jon Tester’s foreign/military/veteran affairs, environment, energy, commerce, science, and transportation portfolios. Before Senator Tester’s office, she was a member of the donor management team at an international development nonprofit. Jen is a native of the small town of Stevensville, Montana, and graduated from Montana State University in Bozeman.
