Act III: Leadership and Legacy Laureates
Act III brings together distinguished leaders from across sectors, cultures, and geographies who are ready to reflect on what they have learned and consider what comes next. Together, participants share hard-earned lessons, learn from one another, and explore how their experience and leadership can contribute to a lasting legacy of positive societal impact.
“The difficulty of our time is a difficulty of the human spirit.”
These words, shared at the Aspen Institute’s founding 75 years ago, spoke to a world divided and in need of renewal. The moment called for a kind of leadership rooted in reflection, dialogue, connection, and a belief in what is possible.
Today, those lessons remain vital. Proven leaders who have transformed industries, advanced scientific and technological breakthroughs, and shaped policy and public life are asking deeper questions: What have I learned? What is mine to do now? And how can I put my experience, influence, and resources toward lasting impact?
The challenges of our time cannot be solved alone. They call for leaders who can work across sectors and cultures, learn across differences, and stay grounded in their values.
Act III: Leadership and Legacy Laureates, an initiative of the Aspen Global Leadership Network (AGLN), creates a space for leaders to do just that. Applications for the second cohort are now open.
Act III brings together distinguished leaders from across sectors, cultures, and geographies who are ready to reflect on what they have learned and consider what comes next. The select cohort draws from AGLN Fellows, Nobel Peace Prize recipients, and other exceptional changemakers.
Through two immersive Aspen seminars, ongoing engagement, and lifelong fellowship, Laureates will reflect on their legacy, recommit to their highest purpose, and learn from people with different experiences and perspectives. Together, they will explore bold new ways to use their leadership, talent, and resources to address some of the most pressing and systemic challenges of our time.
Ideal candidates are typically seven to ten years beyond their first AGLN Fellowship experience.
