A system that creates durable wealth—one that allows citizens to accumulate, preserve, and grow useful amounts of capital—is vital to the democratic project.
With a mission to improve the financial security of individual households through systems-level change, we explore a full spectrum of solutions for driving asset ownership, then bring people together to grow and scale those approaches. Our pragmatic, big-tent approach unites workers, investors, policymakers, academics, and innovators from all sectors in a mission to bring Americans the financial stability and wealth they need to flourish.

Research
Through our essential wealth framework, we have created the nation’s first metric for how much wealth households need to thrive, providing a useful benchmark to drive policy and investment toward solutions that work. This research is co-created with economists, financial analysts, government leaders, technologists, and the everyday Americans who are striving to obtain and preserve wealth. More than a research project, it’s a call to action, ambition, and accountability.
Solutions Scaling
Building an ownership economy requires that we look beyond traditional assets like home ownership and investment accounts to identify and grow new ownership models. Our collaboration and research has highlighted emerging solutions, such as inclusive commercial real estate.
Field Alignment
The field of wealth innovation is rich with fresh ideas and bright champions to advance them. To help align this growing movement, Aspen FSP and a group of funders are working to facilitate collaborative learning, smart investment, and bold action to expand ownership—and the wealth it brings—to all Americans.
